I'm pretty sure all of us have heard of the quote "Love is all you need" and we tend to argue and say "No, oxygen is more important!" Well, let me tell you my friend, love really is all you need.
I'm not talking about romantic love. I'm talking about love in general. Love itself is a beautiful thing yet people don't see it everyday. It's given and received but people don't acknowledge it at all. The world thinks that you need to be in a relationship with someone to feel real love. That's not it. You really don't need to be with someone to feel love. You just have to see it.
An example of this is the love given to you by family-the kind of love people tend to ignore. That's a reason why teenagers get into relationship at such a young age. Your friends might leave you but your family never will. They're the ones that you grew up with, the ones you will always see even if they're miles away, they're the ones who lived with you in the same house until you reached your college life or whatever. Even if you did something wrong to a friend and they leave you, your family will still be there for you no matter what. Being part of a family is a blessing. I admit that I get annoyed sometimes but I just tolerate it because once I get older, I'll be begging for time to spend with them.
Next is the love given by friends. I love my friends and I really don't like losing them. My close friends know when I feel down and when they try to encourage me, that's what I can call love. I, myself don't like seeing my friends get hurt so I try to comfort them when they're not feeling okay.
*sigh* Here's the romantic love. For all you single people out there, don't worry someone's out there who's going to marry you but you don't know who it is yet, neither do they. For those in a relationship, may this be the kind of relationship that's like first and last kind of thing. A friend once told me "Don't get into a relationship unless you're ready for marriage." Which makes sense because why would you be in a relationship if you don't plan on sealing the deal? Girls, I know your hormones tend to be all over the place and you tend to fall for guys but really, all it takes is self-control to keep yourself from getting into unhealthy actions. For the guys, if you really love her, than you can wait. I can assure you, it's worth it. Now for everyone, finish your studies before getting into these kinds of things, please. Also, make sure your parents agree with the guy/girl. You don't want any arguments with the people who practically raised you.
This is the last one. Definitely not the least. There is one person who loved us even at our most unlovable state. His name is Jesus Christ. He's my very first love. We're all born sinners and Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. He didn't have to wear a crown of thorns, He didn't have to carry the cross, He didn't have to be hung on the cross yet He still did it for us. Why? Because He loves us so much that He died for us. No pain can compare to the agony Jesus had to go through when He died for us. We're supposed to go to hell and suffer for eternity but what does John 6:23 say? "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son for whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." If you were a father, would you let your son sacrifice for someone they love? I wouldn't. But God loved us so much that he gave his son up. He even let them nail him on the cross and that itself is just plain agonizing. We should have been on that cross but instead Jesus took our place. That is what I call love.
Think about it. Just to make our day, all we need is love. Having a bad day? A friend can show love and encourage you. Need to cry? A warm, tight hug from mom can cover it. Did a lot of sins in the past? God will forgive you no matter what.
