I have said my farewell to 2015. Too many people have made goodbye 2015 posts so I'm welcoming 2016 into my life.
2015 by far was the weirdest and most challenging year for me. When 2016 was approaching on New Year's Eve, I widely opened the door for 2015 to leave.
2016, I'm looking forward to you.
You're the year that I suppose will be a heck of a good one. I mean, I would be preparing to graduate and chose a college by this time but the new K-12 system told me to wait two more years. Sigh. It's fine really, I like the new curriculum. It's just that my friends from different schools are off to college. While I'm graduating high school, they're finishing their sophomore year.
You are also the year I'll be in the 11th grade. Our batch will be the first in the school to go under it so this should be exciting. Based on the orientation and the guide we were given, I'm guessing Grade 11 will be the heaviest year of our high school lives. I'm scared, really. But I'm preparing for it.
I'll be 17 this year. One more until I'm legal. If no one sings me Dancing Queen by Abba, I'd be the saddest person alive.
Summer 2016, I'm looking forward to you the most. Two months of not having to worry about academics. This would also be the perfect time to meet new people and try different things out. Of course, I'll enroll in dance classes as always.
I can already feel the good vibes coming from this year. I have my doubts that it wont last until December 31st but I can't let my year be ruined by that. I'm afraid of what can happen but I can't wait too. I guess I'll have to stick around and find out.
2016, what will you have in store for me?
Happy New Year!
