Before we actually had the job, we were first interviewed but it wasn't one-on-one. I don't know about the others but I was interviewed with people who I would be working with. A few days after that, I got a text saying what time and where the training sessions were held. Of course, it was held at The Globe Tower in BGC. The training lasted for two days. We learned about how postpaid plans and how Spotify works. We were also taught on how to make postpaid plans for customers and how to talk to them. We're supposed to use these things called "Discovery Questions." It's what we're supposed to say when we encounter a customer although, when I was already immersed into the store, I didn't use any discovery question. Most of them asked me how they can apply for a plan, what the requirements are, how much the cash out is, and the worst, they asked me about the Tattoo which I know nothing of.
During our immersion, I got to know the people who worked there and created short friendships with some of the customers. As time passed by, I realized that I actually enjoy talking to the customers and explaining postpaid plans to them. Even if I was tired from running back and forth to the customer just to entertain their questions, I still had fun. The only thing that I really didn't like about the whole thing is the fact that some customers tell me that they'll come back but actually, they never do. I was like this close to having a sale but they didn't come back. I remember one scenario wherein I kept on telling the customer about the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 4 and iPad Mini bundle and they took up so much of my time and she even filled out the plan application form. After that, I endorsed her to my buddy, the person who helps us with our sales. After they found out that there was cash out, they discarded it. I was actually about cry but I kept it in. They apologized and they kept the filled out application form.
We just had our Graduation last Friday on May 30, 2014 in The Globe Tower. It was nice seeng everyone again and it was also nice to get our certificates and our money. But what I loved the most about that day was when we went to The Fort to hang out. I even hung out with the JMWs whom I don't even know all that much. It was great because we talked out our own store experiences and I also found out that none of them used the discovery questions.
Sadly, I can't do this again next year. JMWs of Season 1, 2, and 3 can't sign up again to give slots to others.
