Solar System
All of us have our priorities, right? We always have to put more important things first, like school or work. Before you go and watch a movie with your friends on a weekend, you finish your project that's due the next week or finish a buisness report that you're gonna have to submit by next Monday. That's how it should go. I admit, I do things that I have time later for first rather than doing my homework. We all slip on things like that.
What about Jesus? Has He been your top priority lately? Have you been putting other things first? Anything or anyone that's put before Him is an idol. We tend to love a certain band or artist or a certain person more than Jesus, which is obviously wrong because they can't save you from your sinful self, only Jesus can. Ever since we becames Christians and accepted Jesus Christ, we have to live for Him. He should always be at the center of everything we're doing.
Try this: whenever you're struggling with your priorities, draw the solar system. Put Jesus as the Sun and Mercury as your second priority. It serves as a reminder that Jesus should always be at the center with whatever you do. It helps me a lot.
Anyway, if you realize that you've been putting something before Christ, approach someone you can talk to about it. Christ will tell you what to do through them.
God bless!
